Becoming Mechanical!

The 1st half of 3rd sem!
Ufff!! Finally, the mid sem exams are over. N it was kinda okay! I will certainly flunk in Basic Thermodynamics which is considered to be the toughest subject in Mechanical!
Well, we had a great start to the sem. The professors who taught us were fantastic except our maths ma’m. We were so bugged off with her that we even made her cry one day! I was expecting a better prof in mathematics this time coz I had obtained two ‘D’ Grades in maths last year, I don’t blame the prof but I was expecting some thing gud this time. But I was unlucky!
After one week, our cool-looking juniors came to the college. They were cool for 2 weeks. No senior ragged a junior coz it was an sdm tradition! There will be no ragging until the fresher’s day takes place. N once the fresher’s day got over; the ragging was on a high! Ragging in corridors, canteens, classes everywhere! But the ragging will be fun not only for the seniors but for the juniors as well. There will be no vulgarity n all. Shailesh, Sidhesh, Anup, Vicky n I formed a small group to rag some juniors n it worked!



Between all these, we friends decided to go to Jog falls. It was great experience.
After a cheerful 1st month, it was time for college fest. N this time we had pledged to participate in some o’ the other events. And we did participate in some events. It was fun! The dance event was the best in sdm history. 25 groups had participated n it included non-dancers as well! But But.. I missed the show! Ah! I feel like killing myself! The Western music event got cancelled as it was scheduled just before the mid sem exams.
Amidst all these fun stuffs, there were the usual classes n the labs. Labs were kinda hectic but it was fun to play with the sand n all! Classes started to get boring. Manpro is the worst subject. I have bunked some 10 classes outta 20!
Meanwhile, Roger Federer won his 5th consecutive US open title. To all my frnds out der [Every1 hates Roger]: Never ever try to write off a champion!!
Well, just the 1st hlf of 3rd sem is over. I’m expecting a boring 2nd half coz we don’t hav any fests n all.. So until then.. tata! Happy Diwali!

India Rocking!

Every other rock fan in India follows Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer & many other bands. People go crazy when Iron Maiden tours India or when Megadeth tours India. Even I had gone wild when Maiden toured India last time. When I heard the news, I started following the band. I knew I wouldn’t get the tickets for the show, but too I followed them. This wat normally happens if a great band performs in India. There’s a HUGE fan following in India for these bands. And I am not against it coz once upon a time I used to do the same thing. When it comes to an Indian rock band, the story is somewhat poles apart [Poles Apart is one of the best songs by Pink Floyd :p]. And it is true coz I have one such experience. Last semester, India’s best rock band EUPHORIA had come to my city to perform. When we got the news about that, we were thrilled coz we were attending a “concert” for the 1st time in our lives! But unlike English Bands, we hardly knew any songs of Euphoria. We knew some one or two songs. And none of my frnds or me tried to download the songs & listen to them once. But we had a great time at the concert.. It would have been even great if we had taken a note of the songs prior to the concert. I think EUPHORIA was India’s best ever band. Palash sen’s voice was touching & the songs were magical.
Now Parikrama might be India’s BEST rock band. Frankly speaking, I had jus heard bout their name only once or twice before the Maiden concert [Parikrama had jammed with Iron Maiden & the news had made some headlines]. I have begun following the band from past 2 weeks or so & I must say that the band is really awesome. One of their songs “But it Rained” is incredible. It has a special place in my heart! You can download the song from parikrama.com. They release their songs on their websites for free.
“The Superfuzz” is the other Indian band which many youths follow. They had won the channel V Launch Pad last year. One of their songs “School” is famous.

The other notable bands are Bhayanak Maut, Pentagram, Cyanide, Decibel, Lounge Piranha, The Extramentals, Indian Ocean, Indus Creed & many many more..
Some bands have a profile in myspace.com. You can listen to the songs or download them. Its time that we start appreciating our very own Indian bands & start following them.

3rd Semester!

Start of my third semester of engineering.
After 2 n a half months of boredom, I'm back at the college! And I will be entering the branch this time.
25th August. The day every one of us was waiting. And I had no idea that my day was gonna be so worse!
The 1st thing that I got to know was that my class had only one girl! Mechanical Dept, you see! Gals here prefer EEE rather than Mech. Later do they get to know that EEE is worse than Mech! Only 1 gal in the class & 60 odd boys! Holy crap!
The 2nd thing I learnt was that the professors who take our class were either too strict or too boring! I had a bad start for 3rd sem.
There were only 2 classes that day. 3 classes were cancelled! The 2 classes that we had were in the 1st hour n the last hour! So, v had 3 hr gap in between. The day went from bad to worse! But the final class made the day fantastic! A new maths lectures entered the class & everyone started Booing her! All boys team [As we are nicknamed] had to do something that day due to the frustration caused by the other professors.
The rest of the week went calmly. Some professors bunked the class more that they took it! Some professors were at their best especially AVK sir & Wadawadgi sir[Hope I got that right!]. And sometimes, there were no labs. All in all, it was a fun week for mechanical guys.
In between this, the only gal in our class shifted to the other division! How cruel can that be!
Now, the class looked perfect! Some Professors started expressing themselves freely [if there was a gal, the prof had to be careful with his words].
The juniors were scheduled to come on 29th. But due to the death of one of my senior, the opening day got postponed.
So we had a great beginning. N hope the professors are not so boring further onwards!

Following the Games!

This is most likely the best thing I have done these vacations. I had mentioned in my previous blog that joining the Data structures course was the best thing.. But seriously, getting up early n attending the classes in this season is the hardest thing to do. Just one week remaining for the college to start & I am completely thrilled to attend the classes afresh. I will be entering the branch this time & I really donno wat to expect either from the seniors or the professors.
I was talking bout the Olympic Games at the start of my blog & I better come back to that. I have never ever followed the Games in this way before. I had to follow the games this time coz I had my vacations going on.. I had no better job to do than this!
So, the Games started exactly on 8th August at 08:08:08 pm! The opening ceremony, as I mentioned in my previous blog, was stunning! But later the news reports suggested that the Games opening ceremony was FAKED!! Can you believe that?!
Shooting was the 1st event of the games. Indian shooters Anjali Bhagwat & Avneet Kaur Sidhu were participating in this event. Frankly speaking, no1 had any hopes on them & every1 got it right. Some Czech player won the event & became the 1st player to get GOLD in the Beijing Olympics. I usually don’t follow any athlete in Olympics but this time I was following some1.. It was Michael Phelps. There was so much hype bout him winning the 8 golds. And I had, to some extent, followed him in 2004 Olympics. So, I had some feeling that he wud make it this time around. Here’s wat many athletes did which no1 expected..

1. Michael Phelps

The Phenomenal Phelps! 8 gold medals in a single Olympiad.. Superb! Michael Phelps conquered the pool by winning 5 Individual events[100m & 200m Butterfly, 200m & 400m Medley, 200m Freestyle] & 3 team events[4x100 Freestyle, 4x200m freestyle, 4x100 medley] & breaking the world record in 7 events. It was fantastic! The best race I saw was the 4x100m event where USA’s Jason Lezak stole the show by swimming the stunning last 100m to give Phelps his 4th gold. Phelps had become the Gr8est Olympian ever!

2. Abhinav Bindra

None of us had any hopes on this guy. Every news channel had hopes on Rathore, Gagan Narang & Manavjit Sandhu. Abhinav Bindra was quiet until he won the Gold in 10m Air Rifle event. Fabulous performance from the 25 yr old Chandigarh boy gave India its 1st ever gold medal in the Olympics. News channels went wild, newspapers printed his photos on every page & India had got a new hero! This was the best Independence Day gift for all the Indians!

3. Usain Bolt
“Lightning Bolt” as he’s called ran 100m in an INCREDIBLE 9.69 sec to become the Fastest man on Earth. He was the world record holder before coming into the games & I had some hopes that he wud win it this time. And he did! Probably, this was the best 10 seconds of my life! It was breath-taking!

4. Yelena Isinbaeva

Arguably the world’s best women Pole Vaulter had to do something out of the world thing to silence the media & her opponents. She created history by clearing the 5.05m barrier in the pole vault event. It was spectacular. She has an amazing 24 world records to her name & I think it won’t end here!

Those were the 4 athletes who stole the show at the Olympics.
China was amazing in Badminton, Weightlifting, Gymnastics & Archery.
African nations won the long distance running events as they have been doing from many years.
In general, China is expected to top the medal tally. I am hoping that India wins a medal in boxing.

Of Holidays n Olympics!

As I mentioned in the previous blog, I wud rite something in these holidays which probably dint happen[Oops! Actually it dint happen]! The results of the 2nd sem were out jus after the exmas were over. The results were pretty surprising! An SGPA of 7.12 in SDM was not a joke. But later I realized that the grading points have been changed. The 5 points I got in 1st sem was eqvivalent to the 7 points I got in 2nd. But I was happy for one reason. No SUMMER TERM! After this, the real Holidays began! N i dont remember wat I did in this 2 months. Laying on my bed, watchin TV, Orkutting[sometimes], those evening meetings with my friends at Coffee day or betta, the data structures course[which by the way has to be the best part of these holidays], listineng to some Pink Floyd songs, a picnic with friends.. Thts preety much wat I've done in this holidays!
A roller coaster ride of hits, misses (mostly misses) and torture and boredom has finally come to an end. It still doesn't erase the fact that I have two more weeks to ride this coaster. But for now, its done. I can finally breathe, breathe the air of food, sleep and most importantly the internet[I hav hardly come to orkut this month]. I missed you. Not to say that I haven't been here all this time, oh I was here alryt but never in spirit. If you've noticed, I'm back to being myself, never knowing what to say, so reverting to the one thing I know best, typing crap to make it seem like I actually have an entire blog post mapped out in this little head of mine, which is not! Writing crap is the best thing in the world. You dont know wat you are writing, you dont if some1 will ever read this blog. You just keep on writing n finally you realize that no1 will read this piece of shit! But whoever reads this blog, thanks for reading it!
Look who finally decided to grace his beloved blog with his presence! Seriously, I need to get my life back on track here, laziness seems to be reigning over every little cell in my body. My life, in addition to being depressing is now turning boring, so boring in fact, that I can't seem to be able to find any balance anymore.Well, if you don't wat i'm talking about, then that's probably because this is the first time you're finding yourself here. To know a little more about my extremely unbalanced self, go read the archives of this blog. I'm sure they'll provide you a good insight into the utter and complete insanity that is me.

Today, Abhinav Bindra Shot an amazing 700 points to give India its 1st gold after 28 yrs n 1st ever Individual Gold medal. I got to know about this shooting sport just a month back. Gagan Narang, if I remember, shot an world record score of 704.
On 8th August, China did wat no1 could hav ever imagined of. Beijing Olympics was one of the greatest ever show on earth. China did watever they could to show the world that the they are one of the super power. The breath-taking fireworks, the fantastic display of Chinese culture.. Just SUPERB!

Back to Blogging!

After 4 long months of college, I'm back to blogging!
The 2nd semester has jus got over. N believe me, it was one helluva journey! 2nd sem seriously SUCKS!
There are many reasons why i stopped blogging for a while.
One of 'em was of course the IPL! I was completely glued to the tv for 44 days! It was entertaining. I still support Bangalore Royal Challengers. I dont care what others think. N plz for God sake dont label my team as a TEST TEAM!
N hats off to Rajasthan Royals for performing so well. No1 expected them to win this tournament. But they did! All thanks to Shane Warne.
Secondly, i was busy with the college fests, mid sem exams n all!
Being in the 2nd sem, i was fortunate enough to interact with the seniors which doesn't happen in other colleges. I even organized some events. & all thanks to Sudheendra, my senior, for teaching me the basics required to organize an event!
In these 4 months, i even got to know bout some of the rock bands. & this time I gotta thank Anup for that.
I can finally say that I've become a ROCK MUZIK FAN!

The Happening WORLD! The HILARIOUS WORLD!

The EVENTS that take place in the FAST MOVING WORLD but with some twist!

1. I was watching ET on NDTV Goodtimes n was jus astonished to hear that Britney had got a new boyfriend! That Guy, Adnan Ghalib is a PAKISTANI n He's a paparazzi too! Thts what I call a COMBINATION! Whats happened to Britney! She's become dumb after shaving her head off, i guess! She's even thinking of converting to Islam! N here comes the amazing part.. Britney may even fly to Pakistan! Whao! GOD HELP BRITNEY!!

2. Harbhajan Singh has allegedly abused Andrew Symonds racially during the Sydney test. N he has been handed a 3 match ban. The word he allegedly used was "Monkey". Ah! This is jus rubbish! V use these kinda word every single day! N I thank the Australians for reminding of ol' childhood days!

3. French President Nicolas Sarkozy is in love again! I just HATE these French AFFAIRS! The woman, oops!, I mean the gal who he is dating is Carla Brunil!! The prez is 52 yr old divorced man n Carla's a HOT HOT supermodel! Man! I wonder whether he'll be the next BILL CLINTON!! lolz!

4. Jennifer Aniston wants to be a mom! This is a HOT news. I dont know what the hell was she doing with Brad Pitt??!!! OOPS! She was busy in the shooting of F.R.I.E.N.D.S serial! But But.. There was ROSS too.. I mean David Schwimmer! She had too many chances! Poor RACH!

5. Now, about Hillary Clinton! The best actor in the Hollywood! N i mean that.. After the awful loss at IOWA, pundits predicted that she would lose in New Hampshire too. But it dint happen! The reason.. Hillary became emotional during one of the campaigning event! N that promted many women to vote for her! Poor OBAMA! But Thts a gr8 news for EKTA KAPOOR! She may cast Hillary in her next soap!

6. Salman Khan has unveiled his wax statue at the Madame Tussauds. Salman had been to London with Katrina Kaif(His so-called girlfriend). But everyone was stunned when she dint make it to the unveiling ceremony. I guess, she was busy giving her measurements to the wax architects! After ASH, KAT may be the the next ex-girlfriend of Salman whose wax statue wil be unveiled at Tussauds! lolz!

7. Last week, the WORST dressed celebrities were announced by a magazine(I dont knw which magazine it was!). Victoria Beckham was the worst dressed female celebrity n Eddie Murphy bagged the "honours" in the male category! There was no surprise in the female category! Victoria is always worst dressed! She looks pathetic with David! The runners up in the female category were Lindsay Lohan n the "GORGEOUS"(lolz) Amy Winehouse!!

Here Comes FORCE INDIA!

2 important events happened on the 10th Jan. This probably may be the new face of INDIA.
Venue-AUTO EXPO-08, Delhi
An emotional n proud Ratan Tata unveiled the world's cheapest car. The car named TATA NANO, the PEOPLE's CAR, for its small size but high technology, has already created waves in the Indian Auto Industry. The car will be costing 1 lakh+VAT."A PROMISE IS A PROMISE" said the 70 year old tycoon, realizing the Dreams of middle class Indian family. Hats off to such a man who has worked thro'out his life just for the betterment of INDIA! The car will hit the Indian roads by October '08. Ratan Tata had hit the headlines last year after Tata motors were declared the front runners to buy JAGUAR & LAND ROVER.
But this is something special. This car is for the people of INDIA. This car has put India on the GLOBAL AUTOMOBILE MAP! Though a bit small than the Maruti 800, it has got gud looks & is compact n I feel its gonna be a HUGE HIT not only in India but other countries as well. People only dreamt of this kinda car & suddenly their dreams hav cum true n all thanks to one man, Ratan Tata.
But is it WORTH the HYPE???

2nd EVENT..
Venue-Mumbai
The much hyped Force India F1 team was unveiled on the same day. But it dint gather much attention as the NANO did. Last year Vijay Mallya, the liquor baron, had bought the team which was formerly known as SPYKAR F1. The team now comprises of Giancarlo Fisichella, the ex-Renault driver, & Adrian Sutil who had raced for the spykar last year. Vitantonio Liuzzi will be the test and reserve driver.

Force India is $120 million team n Mallya believes that performance is what matters the most, not the money!
Shah Rukh Khan is the brand ambassador of the Force India Team. Giancalro Fisichella said that it'll be tough start for the season but he hopes that he'll give performance during the later stages of the season.

Here comes MY INDIA!

TZP.. A CLASSIC by AAMIR!

Finally, I'm in the theatre to watch Taare Zameen Par!! Its been nearly 15 days since the film had released. I'm waiting for this film from past 3 months! After two back to back hits(RDB,Fanaa), Aamir Khan could have easily worked with any well known director. But he dint! He decided to don three caps this time-Actor, Producer n DIRECTOR by making a film on a dyslexic child(Before i watched this film, i was not knowing anything bout dyslexia).
Aamir had clearly mentioned in his BLOG tht its not a children's film. Its about the children! N after watching this movie, I certainly felt so!
Lets begin with the film. This film's all about Ishaan Awasthi[Darsheel Safary]. He is an eight-year-old boy whose world is filled with wonders that no one else seems to appreciate or encourage. Colors, fish, dogs and kites are just not important in the world of adults, who are much more interested in things like homework, marks, neatness n discipline. He is jus cant come out of his adventurous world! The film starts with some animated stuffs which hav come out amazingly well.
There are several breath taking moments in the 1st half..
*Ishaan collecting small fishes from a drainage. The concentration with which he collects them is amazing.
*When his maths teacher gives the class a surprise test, he answers only 1 question.. 3x9=3!!
*When Ishaan is asked to read a paragraph by his English teacher, he replies"Letters are Dancing".
*Ishaan bunking the school for a day & roaming all over Mumbai! The song playing in the background is gr8! It is sung by a child n is continued by Adnan Sami.

*Ishaan's fighting with the neighbouring kid.
*The way Ishaan reacts when his dad gets to know about the school bunking!
* Ishaan's parents' decision of putting him in a hostel and Ishaan's constant pleas falling on deaf ears. The song 'Maa' which is constantly played in the background reminds you of your mother.
* Ishaan looking disinterested in life after he's put in the boarding school.
There are several moments in the first hour that make you moist-eyed. The bonding between the mother and son is remarkable. All credits to Tisca Chopra.
You might be wondering where the hell is Mr.Aamir Khan in the movie!
He makes a appearance at the end of the 1st half!
One day a new art teacher bursts onto the scene. He's name Ram Shankar Nikumbh [Aamir Khan], who dances, sings with the students on the very 1st day. He asks the students to think, dream and imagine, and all the children respond with enthusiasm, except Ishaan who's still feeling lonely.
Ram soon realizes that Ishaan is very unhappy and he sets out to discover why. Aamir travels all the way to Mumbai to meet Ishaan's parents and then citing examples of extra-ordinary men -- these moments linger in your memory even after the show has concluded. Ram gives the examples of Thomas Alva Edison, Agatha Christie, Leonardo Da vinci n also Abhishek Bachchan jus to boost up Ishaan's confidence. With time, patience and care, he ultimately helps Ishaan find himself.
As usual the best part is reserved for the finale.. the art competition in the penultimate twenty minutes. Ishaan wakes up early n gets ready for the drawing competition. He goes to a near by pond in the midst of a thick fog. The art competition gets under-way, but Ishaan is missing. Ram ashs his frnds, but they dont know anythin bout him. Finally Ishaan turns up to the competition. The emotions reach an all-time high as the Ishaan regains his confidence. The finale would melt even the stone-hearted! Ram makes a portrait of Ishaan which is just spell bound! Finally, Ishaan beats Ram n wins the competition. During the prize distributuin ceremony, Ishaan becomes emotional n runs to Ram n hugs him. I bet everyone would hav cried after watchin the scene. It is mesmerizing to watch a young boy do the emotions!
All in all, it is jus a brilliant movie.
In his debut film itself, Aamir proves that he's a gifted storyteller, someone who has the courage to swim against the tide and also convince the viewer that there's more to film-making than the mere bollywood style entertainers like OSO!
Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy's music is good. Prasoon Joshi, the ad man, has written the lyrics which has come out very well. Tisca Chopra is just impeccable. I dont know where was she hiding all these years. She's an undiscovered gem!
And finally the young, handsome Darsheel Safary! He's outstanding in the film. A performance that moves you and makes you reflect on your growing years. He definitely deserves an award!
On the whole, Taare Zameen Par is an outstanding work of cinema. To miss it would be sacrilege. It has everything it takes to win awards and box-office rewards!

The DAY when CRICKET LOST!!

Australians- Biggest cheaters of the game!
Sydney, Australia. Australia vs India.. 2nd test.
The worst ever game in the History of Test Cricket! The only test match were the UMPIRES made the headlines rather then the players!
It all started on the 1st day of the match. Ricky Ponting clearly edging the ball off Sourav Ganguly. But was given not out! He was on 14. He went on to score 55 which he dint deserve! If Cricket is a gentlemen's game, he should hav walked! But he dint. B'coz he is an AUSTRALIAN! The umpire under the scrutiny is Mark Benson.
Next came a huge decision from Steve "ANTI-INDIAN" Bucknor. Andrew Symonds got a HUGE nick off Ishant Sharma, but the umpire was again unmoved! Even a spectator off the field would hav heard tht nick! But Mr.Bucknor dint! He's Deaf. He's BLIND! Symonds got the reprieve when he was on 30. He went on to score 162!
Then came another horrifying Decision! But this time the culprit was the THIRD UMPIRE! Yes, You heard it right! The third umpire! Andrew Symonds was again given Not Out! The replays clearly showing that he's foot was in air! He was clearly stumped by Dhoni off the bowling of Anil Kumble when he was on 49. With all the Technology, the Third Umpire dint even see the foot in the air! Holy Fucking Shit! As Navjot Singh Sidhu rightly said" He should go back to school n learn wat is cricket!" These Horrifying decisions happened on the Day 1 of the Sydney Test!
2nd Day-- Andrew Symonds went to make a century which he dint DESERVE! Then came another shocker frm Steve Bucknor. Andrew Symonds batting on 148 was given another chance by Mr.Bucknor. Bucknor dint even consult the 3rd umpire when Symonds' foot was not inside the crease. He was standing 25 feet away frm the stups but too he had confident on has AGING EYES! Holy Fish! He shd be Sacked immediately! Australians went on to make 463 which would never have happened if all the decisions were given correct.
5th day- Indians needed 333 to win off 72 overs. India started poorly loosing 3 early wickets. Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly had led the recovery act from 54-3 and had taken the score to 115-3 Dravid n Ganguly played brilliantly until another dubious error was committed by who else.. Mr. Bucknor! Dravid had played solidly to get to 38 and was undone by this decision from Bucknor, followoing a caught behind appeal by Andrew Symonds Dravid, not one to reveal his emotions on the field, reacted angrily and replays confirmed why. The bat was way behind the pad but was adjudged to have edged the ball.
Sourav Ganguly continued with his purple patch with the bat with characteristic elegance, but when he edged the ball to slip fielder Michael Clarke who claimed a dubious catch, umpire Mark Benson thought it apt to ask captain Ricky Ponting who confirmed he did take it even as Ganguly refused to leave the field. India, who could have easily saved the second Test, instead stared at defeat which could deal a severe blow to their series leveling chances. Replays confirmed Clarke had grounded the catch.
Just how cheap can one get to fetch a 16 wins in a row? Ask Ponting he knows everything about cheating in cricket. Just the start of the match I liked this guy and now he is one man I hate to the core!
When he is not sure if the ball carried. Even Ganguly knew that the ball did not carry! Then Why the hell does that Ponting not refer to 3rd umpire??? Ganguly also turns out to be not out! Another catch-drop he went for an appeal. Australians hav lost today! India win the hearts, Australia win The Match! Cricket is a Gentlemen's game. This is not the way cricket is played. Absolutely not! As Sunil Gavaskar said" UTTER NON SENSE! You cannot take the fielders word for it when the fielder as a batsman nicked the ball and did not walk. How can you be honest as a fielder and not as a batsman,"

Benson should have asked his mate at square leg Steve Bucknor or referred it to the third umpire," he added.

Here's a man who dint walk back when he was 14, n He's telling the umpire that its out! How can you do that??!! Australians r so cheap!
During the press conference, Ricky Ponting lashed out the media. When he was asked boutthe catch he had clearly not taken, He replied" Are you Questioning my INTEGRITY"?
Yes, Mr. Ponting. I'm questioning yur integrity! Everyone knows that he dint catch the ball. And still he's telling that he caught the ball!
If I were to be asked I am very satisfied by how the Indian team performed. For me they have won this match convincingly! Australians IX have been thrashed. They had to pack off within 150 in 1st innings! But now that its Australian 14 vs Indian 11 a draw reflects Indian potential of inflicting an innings defeat to the poor losers Australia!

Anil Kumble said during the press conference,"Only one team played in the spirit of the GAME"! N he was applauded my the journalists present in the conference. He is a pure Gentlemen. Everyone respects him.

Mumbai, the financial capital of our country was again in news for all the bad reasons. 2 NRI women were molested by a group of 50 ppl infront of the JW Marriot hotel. It was 1st Jan, 1.40 am. The 2 women along with their partners were leaving the hotel after the new year bash. According the news reports, the group of men allegedly passed some lewd remarks on the women. The women shot them back with some words. The men got angry n pounced on them.A man tore off one girl's dress while another led the assault, with dozens joining in. They were harassed for nearly 15 min. This was all captured by 2 Hindustan Times camera persons. It was jus horrifying! (Last year too, the same thing had happened. Two Foreign tourists were molested infront of the Gateway Of India on the New year's day.) The news spread like wild fire. Media always makes the most of a small news. The news was being highlighted thro'out the day! CNN IBN even spoke to one of the victim. She said tht she was scared of seeing her pictures everyday on the News channel. But CNN IBN dint even respect the victim's words n started airing the pictures the whole day along with the conversation! This is bloody bullshit! Y cant the media respect one's views??!! N one Rajdeep Sardesai speaks big bout his news channel! Is this the face of NEW INDIA?? I hope its NOT!
Lets come back to the molestation case. Blame Game had already started in Mumbai. The police Commissioner of the city said" This is to be treated as one of the offences that happens in any society. That's all. Don't make a mountain out of a molehill. This could happen right here also, right here" Such a coward commissioner! It was the responsibilty of the police force to try n stop these kinda incidents. Some policemen are even blaming the media for tht! The Big statement came frm the SHIV SENA. They said"The victims are to be blamed for this"! Holy fish! I was jus shocked to hear the words. I dont hav any words to utter! These kinda incidents make India the worst country to travel. There is so much fear in the society.
In Kochi, another molestation case was reported. This time the women who were harassed were Swedish Nationals which included a 15 year old girl. The father of the girl said to a news channel that he would now have to think twice before bring his children to India. He said"While we are standing here and being interviewed by you, telling of all the wonderful experiences that we have had in India — which is true — a young man grabs my daughter from behind. This not proper behaviour of anybody, and I think people should really consider this seriously. If you want people to visit your country and see the beauty here, there has to be respect". Is this wat the youths of the country are doing?? There are so many questions unanswered. This is jus the worst possible start to the new year for foreign tourists. They hav come to India for a tour n they go back to their country with BAD memories. Such a shame! Such a SHAME!
My heart goes out to the victims of the tragic incidents. Plz come back to India. It is stil the most Beautiful place on Earth!

Its 31st Dec.. I've jus written the pathetic environmental science exam. I'm wondering wat shd i do on this new year. I ask my college frnds, n their reply-"I'm gonna study constitution of India"! I mean wat the hell. Everyone of us have const of India exam on 2nd Jan. These guys wanna study frm today itself! Crazy!

Finally, I had some of my ol' college frnds to roam with. But i was back at home by 11..!! My New Year was again RUINED! Another question tht was arising in my mind was about the NEW YEAR RESOLUTION! This is terrible! I dont knw why ppl make all these promises n all. In my dictionary, New year Resolution is nothing but a promise tht v follow only on the 1st n v remember it again on d the Next New year! lolz!

I really dont knw y media persons attack one's personal life n make it a big headline! The Sarkozy thing may be astonishing b'coz he's the French President, age 52 n he's dating 39 yr old fashion model! BullShit!

About the resolutions..Here r some of them which i'll think wil happen dis yr!.. Its not bout me..
Ist-Indians wil Beat the australians in their backyard.
2nd- Sarkozy wil marry Carla Bruni. lolz!
3rd- India will win a gold medal at the Olympics.!
