Consequences of taking a wrong pill...
Eh, sounds weird right? Here’s what you feel when you take one…
1. You start sweating.
2. You try to search which pill you have swallowed coz they are too many tab straps in & around that place.
3. You don’t wanna tell this to your parents coz they’ll go wild & freak out.
4. You want to find out what kinda pill you have swallowed.
5. You think of the side effects.
6. Now you are confused whether to take the original pill, which was supposed to go in, or no.
7. You try to squeeze your stomach believing that the pill will come out… which wont!
8. You just can’t throw that stuff off you mind. It’ll haunt you for the rest of your day.
9. Then, you drink lots of water.
10. Nothing will help you. So just forget it & move on!
The whole day is wasted just coz of one wrong pill! Never ever commit this crime!

Short term memory loss
Ghajini portrayed a person having this rare disease of short term memory loss. Looks like even the citizens of this country are suffering from the same disease. I would really equate the protagonist in the film with the aam junta. Seriously!
Remember the Mumbai attacks in November… Everyone went haywire. Media went over board, Mumbai reacted strongly & the good old politicians kept mum. Everybody whether they were affected directly or indirectly watched the emotional assault on the financial capital on the TV. Whether it was Vilas Rao Deshmukh’s horror show by taking Ram Gopal Verma to the Taj or R.R Patil’s beautiful words “Small things happen in big cities”... Everyone’s heart was full of anger, pain & revenge. We could do nothing. We could jus do a peace march in Mumbai or light candles or jus frown over the incident. Finally, after a month the voices fizzled out. The central govt, to save its own ass, decided to sack Vilas Rao & Patil. Patil was replaced by Chhagan Bhujbal. Now comes the short memory loss part. Bhujbal was the same man who was made to resign for his alleged role in Telgi case. Media dint raise the issue nor did the common man. The debate about the attacks was on though.
Indian Cricket team… We support them, we hail them, and we call them our heroes… But only when the win! India was out of the world T20 cup even before the semi finals. This is a HUGE thing in India. And the criticism started to flow. The media were at it again. Dhoni was criticized for his captaincy, for his batting, for his press conferences & what not! Even other players faced the wrath. Short memory loss again! The same Dhoni won us the T20 world cup last time; the Dhoni did wonders with his batting in many tournaments. Well, the media in India is bull shit. They show the worst possible news on the channel & praise themselves for doing it. When India loses, they bash everyone. One channel even went on saying the “Dhoni… Arrogance Personified”. Ya! WTF moment!
We as a common man know wat is right & wat not. The media need not tell us that. DO it wat you are supposed to do!

Maximum City
It had been 8 years since I last visited the financial capital of India. I was on a vacation spree this January. As I had mentioned in my prev blogs, I had been to Nainital with my two friends. I wanted stay in Mumbai while coming back to my place. It had really been long time. I stayed for 6 days at my cousin’s place this time. The first impression when I landed in Mumbai was: Mumbai had changed. And it had transformed into this one huge city. I love to loiter around & this was the perfect city. I have been to Bangalore many times but I’ve never felt good in the city. May be coz of traffic, pollution or may be the population itself. I get this phobia when I visit Bangalore. But Mumbai was a bit better. Traffic system was excellent; people were full of activity & always running around, the local buses & trains… well, the latter was the most exciting one. Traveling in a local train was enthralling, astonishing. Astonishing coz I had never seen such huge number of people boarding one train at a time. And the 5 sec stop at every station… wow! How on earth these people manage to travel? I would have backed out but as they say Mumbai demands you to be swift, intelligent & quirky. The main attractions of this city are people, buildings & the sea! Sky scrapers, historic buildings… they are everywhere! I loved CST station a lot. It’s wonderful. And of course the Taj… It still stood tall after the 26/11 attack. It’s marvelous. Then there are those shopping malls. In-Orbit was one of the malls I visited & it is huge. The most important place I fancied to visit was the Hard Rock Café. I had visited the Bangalore outlet last time & that made me to visit the Mumbai one. My cousin & I searched it for hours. And finally we landed at the café. I love rock stars & this was the perfect place to view their memorabilia. The guitars, the dresses… whoa! Awesome! But the cost of the foodstuff is high. But its worth to spend some bucks & listen to the classic songs.
Mumbai was fun. No wonder they say it’s the MAXIMUM CITY!

Yes He Can!
I’ve not written about Roger since a year n a half. This is a perfect time to write about someone who I admire a lot. 14 titles after the French open & 6th man to win all majors… This moment has been coming - for too long, some thought, writing off this great man. But Roger was patient, and he fought, and he got there. And when the moment came, he stood tall. He looked history in the face and seized it with both hands. I hopped n hopped like a kangaroo when Roger won. It’s been a very bad year for him. He dint win the Australian open & he dint even win any masters cup before winning the Madrid masters.
The man with the Midas touch has done it again. It was the title they said he could never win. The gaping hole on his resume that was to put a question mark over his greatness. Three times he made the final, and three times he lost, including an absolute drubbing against Rafael Nadal last year. But not this year folks! Not this year.
Probably the best human being on court, Roger never ever shows his emotions. He’s got this temperament like no other. His shots are just so beautiful. I love players who play single handed back-hand shots. Sampras & Roger are two of my Fav players. They brought the word ‘gorgeous’ into the game. Roger is all about class & grace. His fore hand may not be the strongest but its one of the most perfect shot. I couldn’t watch Rafa lifting Australian Open & Wimbledon trophies last time. I felt for Roger. And I bet the people who were watching the trophy ceremony of Australian Open had moist eyes seeing Roger cry. It was the most emotional moment. And that’s why till now, crowd supports Roger wherever he plays. It’s delightful to watch the crowd supporting Roger even when he’s losing. He’s an awesome human being. I have watched almost all grand slams from 2004 when he won the Wimbledon. He’s been my true sporting hero. He’s probably the greatest ever sportsperson. Sachin Tendulkar, Tiger Woods, Michael Schumacher, Michael Phelps, Pele… You name them but they all fall short of Roger’s achievements. Jimmy Connors once famously said “You're either a clay court specialist, a grass court specialist or a hard court specialist ... or you're Roger Federer".
The greatest tennis player ever to be born. This cannot be disputed now. He has now won fourteen Grand Slams, putting him in equal first place with Pete Sampras - but unlike Sampras, he has won them on all four surfaces. He has made twenty consecutive semi finals. Yes. TWENTY! In addition to three runners up finishes at Roland Garros, one at Wimbledon and one at the Australian Open, Roger Federer owns five Wimbledon titles, five US Opens, three Australian Opens and one Roland Garros title.
This is his time. This is his moment. And this, my friends, is history!!

Discomfort
There seems to be nothing that is going in my way at this juncture. My holidays have begun; I’ve not joined any fuckin classes. And above all, I’m undergoing house arrest!
This is just what I dint want at this moment of my life
This day for record, a sense of lethargy had taken me over and now I am feeling that again… something I cannot afford to lose for a whole lot of years to come, but you know when I see through them, I wonder wats this life all about… Is it about success or about satisfaction or about some other crazy reason? If you ask me where I’ll be after two years, I’ll be blank for a sec & go into a state of nothingness.
Life pretty much sucks during holidays. You are puzzled with two questions over n over again. One is wat are you gonna do now & the other is wat are my other friends doing. Yes! That’s wat happens if you are alone. You start getting weird thoughts.
One more thing creeps you is results. And its even more freaking if the exams have gone bad. You feel like committing suicide.
These holidays are a learning period as many say. But I disagree! These holidays are to sleep, listen to some classical songs & watch wateva you want on the idiot box! You just can’t get your ass off the cushion.
I don’t know why I’m writing this blog. I won’t feel good after writing this but its kinda satisfaction that I’ve done something nice today. Happy till tomo!

Personalties I love the most on Television
Here’s a list of hosts, characters that I fell in love with!
Ellen Degeneres- The talk show host is simply superb. Her dance moves, her humor, her witty games & her audacity make the show one of the best. She has also got a huge fan following on tweeter. She’s a humanitarian & a lovely human being.
Chandler Bing- This fictional character as they say is the most closest to my heart. Played by Matthew Perry in ‘Friends’, Chandler Bing is fabulous in each & every episode. His pick up line is “Could this be any more…?” & it is often used by his friends to mock him. His sarcasm is awesome. His expression to Joey’s dumbness is amazing.
Asha Gill- She’s the world traveler! The gorgeous Malaysian hosts Nat Geo channel’s travel series ‘Six Degrees’. She has been to innumerable places & one the best episodes was when she visited Mumbai & Buenos Aires in Argentina. She tries everything the city can offer to her.
Samara Currimbhoy- She’s my favorite TV host. The way she speaks... Ah! It gives me goosebumps everytime. She hosts Picture perfect & routes on NDTV Good Times. She’s a photographer & also deals with Yoga.
Ayesha Sharma- This woman is one of a kind! She has traveled to the highest pass in the world on her Royal Enfield, she has traveled Europe, she hosts majority of shows on Good Times. She’s really Mind blowing. I would love to meet her one day!
Fez- Foreign Exchange Student in short, is played by Wilmer valderamma in ‘That 70s show’. He’s known for his boyish looks, the slow Mexican English & his sudden reaction. His pick up line “In my country…” is famous.
Cyrus Broacha- Well, need I say anything about this guy? He revolutionized the Indian comedy shows. Mtv Bakra was jus remarkable. Now, he hosts “The week that wasn’t” on IBN. He’s humorous as he has always been!
Harsha Bhogle- The cricket man as people call him is the best commentator in the world. He keeps us glued to the match with his sense of humor & his nice soft words. When Harsha’s on air, I just can’t change the channel!
I may be missing a few names but these are the main ones! :)

The Vacation Blog
Okay! It’s been 2 months since the last time I blogged. And it has been a boring, interesting 2 months. General Elections, IPL-2, exams & a lackluster 4th semester! And there were other complicated things that were going on in my life but I won’t get into the details. Here is the gist of things that I found interesting to write!
The CCD gig- Probably the most awaited evening of our group! Two of our friends performed at café coffee day here with their band. And it was rocking. We had a night out the same night at Gaurav’s place. Had great fun watching everyone’s profile & commenting on the pics.
The General Elections- Well, for the 1st time in my life I was interested in elections. The hype surrounding the elections & the excitement of voting for the 1st time made me watch the election news everyday. And we saw a change after so many years. Sonia Gandhi’s Congress won majority of seats overcoming the anti incumbency factors. Agatha Sangma became the youngest minister of the nation. She’s just 27! I love these young MPs. They are gonna make a difference for sure.
IPL-2! - After it was shifted to South Africa, I thought it would become a damp squib. But that man did it again! Lalit Modi is a genius. This season’s IPL was way way better than the first one. South Africa is jus awesome. I supported Royal Challengers B’lore as I did last time. And we almost won this season’s trophy. But chargers ruined the party. :x
The 4th sem- It was boring. The professors were pathetic, the subjects were idiotic & the internals sucked! We dint have any respite thro’ out the sem. But we had lots of fests & there was fun week. But the timing was dreadful!
And the world seems to be falling apart day by day. North Korea will one day destroy south Korea after it conducted Nuclear tests last month. The Taliban is gonna consume Pakistan. The cyclone Aila, the Air France plane crash... Its just tragic news these days.
That’s all I got for now. Hope to keep writing.. err.. Blogging!

Trainspotting
It’s a movie where you feel that you have been drugged. At least, I felt that! Danny Boyle’s 1996 blockbuster follows a group of heroin addicts & their course through life. The concept of the movie is fantastic. It’s not easy to make a movie based on drug addiction. Taking drugs, having sex, rehab, drug dealing, stealing, prison life and what not! The actors have done an excellent job. It’s probably the best movie I have watched in recent time. Here’s a small snippet of the movie…
Choose Life
Choose a job
Choose a career
Choose a family
Choose a fucking big television; choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers
Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments
Choose a starter home
Choose your friends
Choose leisurewear and matching luggage.
Choose a three-piece suite on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics.
Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourselves.
Choose your future.
Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that?
I chose not to choose life.
I chose somethin' else. And the reasons?? There are no reasons.
Who needs reasons when you got heroin?

Railways.. A fascination!
Traveling in the railways has forever been my enthusiasm since my childhood. I remember my 1st train journey from Belgaum to Hyderabad. It was so fascinating. I was in 6th grade by then. I loved the journey ‘coz I was feeling as if I was exposed to the outer world which I never knew when I was staying in Belgaum. So, it was kinda learning experience for me & to this day, I’ll never forget it.
But the journey which was most unforgettable was the North India tour which I had undertaken a few months back. I was in the 2nd year of my engineering & by then I knew what India was like, how the people are. But I had never interacted with the North Indian natives. In India, the south Indian community is completely different from the North Indian community. We, as south Indians, differ a lot. Be it the language we speak, be it the dressing sense, be it the attitude towards the general public… It’s completely poles apart. And I realized it during my trip. I was heading to Delhi from Mumbai with 2 other friends. We were not in the same bogie due to some delay in the booking. I was alone at the other end & it kinda was “blessing in disguise” like. I met so many passionate personalities in my compartment. One personality was from Bihar & as like Biharis, he was praising his state, about Lalu Prasad. You see, Lalu is like an ICON in their state. Yu will never get a Bihari who doesn’t speak about either Lalu or his state itself. It’s like a pride for them if they speak about Lalu. And I quickly grasped that Bihar is seriously improving but under Nitish Kumar. And that unique personality never mentioned Nitish Kumar’s name. It was bizarre. I kept mum coz you never wanna get in any arguments with the Biharis. There was another distinctive person in the compartment. And he was heading to Kota. He was rather youthful. He sported a huge black moustache & the only thing he did in the train was eating. He jus ate & ate & ate. It was unreal! He never spoke a word & he dint have any opinion about the Bihar situation!
I met another guy & he was heading to Nainital (That was the place where I was heading too). He told me about the place, the chill factor at Delhi & much more informative stuff. He was a jovial person. He loved his state (Uttarakand) & he loved his place, Nainital. When I mentioned everyone that I was from Hubli, no one knew about the place. I told them that the place in Karnataka. Someone from the other compt asked is it near Belgaum. Thank God there was someone who knew about my state. I said YES! It’s a 2 hour drive from Belgaum. Then the conversation died as it was late in the night. I had to go the other bogie to have dinner with my friends. And there we met a Sardarji family who were traveling to Delhi. As everyone might be aware, a Sardarji brings color in your life. He was cheerful, happy-go-lucky kinda person. I loved his personality. He slept with his cute 3 year old daughter. I rushed back to my compt to hit the bed.
It was 8.30 when I woke up. We were nearer to Mathura & I saw that there was a college student in my bogie. He might have boarded the train from Kota. Kota is an educational hub of India. His name was Ansh. He was from Deharadun. We spoke about education, IIT, Uttarakand, Delhi. It was nice to speak with a student. I got down in every station the train stopped. Tea vendors, mithaiwalas, samosawala… Yu name it. It was a sea of people at every station. I had never ever seen such crazy people in my life. It was extraordinary. This is what I like about Indian railways. It unites people from every community. It’s a wonderful feeling when we meet citizens of different states, different background. Every other person in my compt was helpful. They took care of my luggage when I was not around. They shared their food with us, shared their thoughts. As they say, it happens only in INDIA! And I was feeling it this time.
I met some wonderful people on my way back & they were gr8 too. It was simply amazing to meet so many beautiful people. I think I was lucky to have these personalities amongst me. I loved North India a lot. They love to speak, speak about anything. And that’s what makes India a fabulous nation! And the one which connects the people is the railways.

'Ass'ignments!!
Assignments, assignments and more assignments! Whao… I just can’t believe these professors can be so harsh (well, they are harsh always - but just to say). “Complete this today,” “submit that tomorrow itself” - and what not was the prime sentence of every professor today… Man, they should actually remember how they felt when they were studying… I guess they dint have any assignments to write in 80s. But why the hell do they eat our heads! It’s a freaking job to complete one assignment. The whole idea of an assignment is to COPY from a guy who is the class topper! The professors know this, but too they give these huge assignments. Our college is an autonomous one. They can make their own rules. They can even scrap the assignments. But it will never happen! They want to torture the students & make them impotent by the time they complete their engineering course. Pity on us :(

My LOVE poem!!
"Try some new stuff"! My friend told to me the other day when I told him that I only visit orkut, Yahoo, facebbok & all these crapy sites!
I searched for some new 'stuff' on google the other day and I found this "Your love poem". It was kinda strange. We have to write our favorites & some other things that the website asks you. And finally it gives a poem based on your words.. Here was my "LOVE POEM"! Bear IT!
Your skin glows like the Grapes, blossoms Radiant as the Black rose in the purest hope of spring.
My heart follows your Keyboards voice and leaps like a Cheetah at the whisper of your name.
The evening floats in on a great Kingfisher wing.
I am comforted by your Casuals that I carry into the twilight of Koala bearbeams and hold next to my Adam's apple.
I am filled with hope that I may dry your tears of Breezer.
As my Forehead falls from my Bikini, it reminds me of your Mobile.
In the quiet, I listen for the last Quiet of the day.
My heated Middle finger leaps to my Speedo. I wait in the moonlight for your secret Tin so that we may Love as one, Middle finger to Middle finger, in search of the magnificient Blue and mystical Magician of love.
Its funny! Try this at your own RISK! :p

There she goes!
Venue: BVBCET
Date: 17th April
Occasion: Annual Gathering “Sparsh 09”
It was an evening that I will never forget. I & my friends gathered at the quadrangle of the college to watch the dance shows & the music shows. Two of my friends went to the other side of the quadrangle to meet their class friends. After 5 minutes, my cell beeped.
AB (My friend at the other end): Dude.. S is here!!(I wont take the name of the persons involved here)
A (Myself): Wat! Where?!
AB: She’s rite infront of me. She’s looking stunning!
A: Where are you?
AB: Opposite the right speakers. Come quick
A: M is with me. Can’t leave him alone
AB: It’s okay. Come here man.
A: Okay. I’ll be der in a second.
I told M that I’ve to meet this friend of mine and I’ll be back in few minutes.
I ran across the green grass to get a glimpse of my crush of 4 years. She had been my college mate in 11th & 12th. I had never spoken to her till now. I just used to admire her beauty (Weird). I moved towards AB.
A: where is she?
AB: There she is (Pointing to a girl right opposite to us)
There she was. Looking stunning as ever. Clad in her orange salwar kameez, she was standing with her friends, watching the dance show. She was looking beautiful. Her shining ear-rings, her beautiful smile… Ah! It drove me crazy! I told AB that I wanna meet her. But I have this phobia of not speaking with gals. And it was haunting me again. I have hardly spoken to girls in my whole life. And here again, I was hesitant to speak to her. She knew my name & who was I but she never spoke to me and I don’t complain about it ‘coz boys should take the initiative first.
I messaged V, a classmate of S and my best friend among girls.
A: Where are you?
V: Opp left speakers.
A: Okay. Can you come near EEE dept?
V: Ok. Give me a second.
V appeared near the dept & I told the reason why I had called her.
V: Ok. Wat should I do?
A: Do something. But I wanna speak to her.
I was still apprehensive to meet her. I was kinda scared! V and I spoke & spoke but I dint agree on anything! Finally I made up my mind and said “Leave it”. AB came up & said “I knew you would do this”! He had been my best friend since 11th and he is still now. By this time, she had left the college and I was still wondering how to meet her!
I have been doing this from past 4 years! And I still don’t have the solution to talk to girls. I again missed the opportunity to speak to her and this time I felt like crying!
Help me God! Help me! :’(

Dumb, Dumbest!
Rakhi ka swayamvar!!
Have you heard about this show?
It’s the same old not-so-hot, funny, pathetic looking Rakhi Sawant’s new show where she’s finding a husband for her! Yay! You heard it right! It’s a reality show if I’m correct! What is wrong with the people!? Rakhi is dumb but wat has happened to the channel producers? Get a life guys! And ponder over this… Headlines today having a half an hour discussion about the show! I mean this is just an icing on the cake! When will Headlines Today stop acting as a bunch of nerds?

Its SHOE time
It all started with an Iraqi journo hurling his ‘polished’ shoes on “the most hated person in the world” George Bush & now it’s the turn of our very own Home minister, Mr. Chidambaram. Jarnail Singh did what no other journo had done in this country. Throw a shoe at the nation’s top minister. The shoe narrowly missed PC (As he’s fondly called). This was embarrassing for the minister and the media community also. The media as always hyped this news the same day. Jarnail Singh was the hero of the moment. One channel even asked “which brand of shoes were they?” I mean, Indian media sucks! So many repeated questions, so many senseless questions... Headlines Today is probably run by the DUMBEST people on this earth. They should be banned! Or else ban those journos atleast!
This week it was the turn of Congress MP Naveen Jindal to get a shoe bite! The show thrower this time was a drunken school teacher! That is hilarious! I don’t know whether the MP deserved this or not, but he certainly was pissed off. This elections is gonna be huge. But all it seems the attention is going to the shoes, hate speeches and money! Hope to see some more shoes fly from the protestors… Cheers!

Shoulder came out!
I got this piece of gem from a website. There was press release by the BCCI regarding the injury about Manoj Tiwary. Here it goes..
Mr. Niranjan Shah, Hon Secretary, BCCI announcing the following update on injury of Manoj Tiwary.
"Manoj Tiwary sustained an injury to the right shoulder while fielding at Dhaka. His shoulder came out and this was then relocated by Indian team physio Mr. John Gloster.
Today Dr Anant Joshi examines Manoj at Mumbai and his MRI revealed a tear of antero inferior labrum. Considering Manoj's age and demands of his dominant arm, arthroscopic shoulder surgery will be done by Dr Joshi on Monday. Post surgery, he is likely to be in a sling for three to four weeks and will then require rehab before full function can be achieved."
Kudos to the BCCI for keeping such dumb fellows as their spokesperson!
Just picture this. Picture Manoj Tiwary's shoulder coming out while fielding (has anybody in the BCCI heard of a book called the dictionary?). After an obviously painful injury, imagine him (all of him, at least that's what is implied by the release) being cooped up in a sling. Manoj Tiwary would be laughing in the hospital reading this press release. Wake up BCCI! Get some new spokesperson.
Are we to assume this is what will happen when Sharad Pawar takes over as President of the ICC?
Think!

Left wing & Right wing
Boredom is one aspect of my life which I can’t ignore. I do nothing when I come back from the college (That doesn’t mean that I do something good in the college). The other day, I switched to channel V for some “fun”. I usually watch news channel or sports channel coz there’s always something ‘happening’ in those channels! But news has become disgusting now-a-days. They follow one story for years! It’s really pathetic to watch those insensible journos dragging the same news again & again. I switched to channel V for a change. Lola Kutty was on air. Dressed in a saree, she steals the show completely with her “accent”! She was asking some general questions to the public. One of the questions she asked was “What is left wing & right wing?” Seriously speaking I dint know the answer. I had some clue about the left wing, but right wing?! It was something new for me. One person, I wish I knew his name, answered “Left wing & right wing.. Umm.. Wings of a plane?!” It was a laugh riot! I mean was he paid to answer that? Or was he so dumb to answer that? If you don’t know the answers don’t blurt some rubbish things. You are speaking in front of a National television for God’s sake. Speak something good. His friends must have thrashed him for giving that dumb answer! Lolz!

Watch & See
Applied Thermodynamics is probably the most interesting subject in 4th sem. But the professor who teaches us is a dick head! His half-English, awkward dressing sense & li’l knowledge about the subject make him look like dumbass! His lecture is always uninteresting. The other day, Siddu & I were as usual having a conversation in his class. We were talking about our college fest which was scheduled to be held on 1st April. All of a sudden Siddu started making some weird noises. Animal’s voice or his own, I was clueless! It was damn funny. At first he was making slow noises. But out of the blue, his voice became louder, louder enough for the professor to hear. He turned to us & asked who did it. Siddu didn’t respond nor did I! He asked us to voluntarily stand up & accept the fault. Fuck him! No one stood up again. He took our roll numbers & gave us a dhamki that he’ll fail us in annual exam. We dint respond to that either! After writing down the numbers, he whispered a weird sentence. It was like this “You jus watch & See”! Watch & see?! Wat the hell was that! Siddu & I were somehow controlling our laughs. It was hilarious! I think he wanted to say Wait & watch.. But watch & see?! lolz!

I got a Jim Morrison T shirt,
Got a phone, got a book and a dessert
I got the power of imagination,
I’m waiting for the girl,
The girl of my dreams, to turn up in my imaginings,
She reminds of the past,
Which I can’t forget
I got a strong urge to fly
Fly past this sin city
To a no-man’s land, closer to the ocean
Got a Yuan coin which always shines
Got friends who always support
Got green bucks to live
Got a vehicle, got the thrill & the comfort
But I lack the art,
The art of expressing to the special ones
I’m a loser, I’m a loser
I got some fucking music in the background
Got some presentations
Got a coke, got a pencil & a watch
I wanna run
Run to the outback
But I wanna payback
Payback to the society which has given me everything
Do I have the power?
Do I have the determination?
Or am I egoistic?
I got to think, think peacefully!

A song for everyone..
"Hey there Delilah" by Plain White Ts
Here goes the lyrics..
Hey there Delilah
What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But girl, tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can't shine as bright as you
I swear it's true
Hey there Delilah
Don't you worry about the distance
I'm right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice, it's my disguise
I'm by your side
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me
Hey there Delilah
I know times are getting hard
But just believe me, girl
Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar
We'll have it good
We'll have the life we knew we would
My word is good
Hey there Delilah
I've got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you
Would take your breath away
I'd write it all
Even more in love with me you'd fall
We'd have it all
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they've got planes and trains and cars
I'd walk to you if I had no other way
Our friends would all make fun of us
and we'll just laugh along because we know
That none of them have felt this way
Delilah I can promise you
That by the time we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you're to blame
Hey there Delilah
You be good and don't you miss me
Two more years and you'll be done with school
And I'll be making history like I do
You'll know it's all because of you
We can do whatever we want to
Hey there Delilah here's to you
This one's for you
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me.

Vibrant Advertisements!
Watched the new Vodafone ads?
From where do they get the idea! Damn! It’s so fantastic. That’s wat marketing is all about. It’s having some crazy guy who thinks & thinks to give such fantastic advertisements for the people. It’s all about how you present your new offers to the people. In this regard, Airtel is not upto the mark. The new Airtel ad where the small kid calls & asks his dad to scold his mom is fantastically shot. Vodafone may not have nice offers like Idea or Airtel, but the advertisements of theirs is a big hit!
Have you checked out the new “LK Advani for PM” ad popping up on Google these days? I can’t understand the logic behind this ad. Is the BJP trying to woo the youth or are they following Obama’s “Yes we can” thing?! Strange!

Of Pink Chhadi & the Slumdog!
The two major news of this month were the Mangalore pub incident & the Slumdog millionaire glory. As I’m from Karnataka, the Mangalore incident left me a bit shocking. I had never heard of any attack on women in this state. It was shameful to see men beating up women. The reason: the women were having fun in a pub which according the Sri Ram Sena (The Monsters) is against the ‘Indian’ culture! These frustrated, lecherous men took law into their own hands, molested women, tore their clothes, beat them in public & even called them ‘whores’. Such disgusting men are now walking free in Mangalore. You never know when another attack may happen there. When media covers this type of incidents, it can really get ugly & it really got ugly. The media were covering Mangalore incident for 3 weeks showing the video again & again & asking every other person in M’lore bout the incident. It’s terrible. I agree. It’s a shameful act but covering the incident just as the media did put M’lore in a bad light. Media should act responsibly from now. The Taj incident was another example where the media went haywire! Then came the “Pink Chhadi” campaign. The idea behind was jus gr8. Women were asked to send pink panties to Pramod Muthalik, the head of Sri Ram Sene, on the valentine’s day.. The plan worked. For the first time, women were openly against a group. Salute those women who started this campaign. And for a Pramod Muthalik & his supporters.. “Get a life!”
The other major development was the Slumdog Millionaire winning BAFTA, Golden Globe & Oscars. It was all over the news. Slumdog is really a nice movie. The only message for the people who think the film showcases India’s poverty is “Jus grow up!” The film is fantastic. The child actors have done a great job. Instead appreciating them, people are criticizing them. Ridiculous! Slumdog won a record 8 Oscars. 2 of them were bagged by our very own AR Rahman. Resul Pokutty became a household name after he won an Oscar for sound mixing. It was fantastic to hear Resul speak on the Oscar stage. Well done guys! “Jai Ho”!

Nainital.. A splendid experience!
Date: Jan 9-11
Late night train from Delhi takes you to Kathgodham, which is the nearest railway station. Shailesh, Siddu & me got down at Haldwani which was Shailesh’s hometown. We felt chilled to our bones. It was cold in Delhi too but this was much chillier. But we had enough woolens. The plus was that it felt much fresher and less polluted. Took a cycle-Rick (It is famous in this part of the world) ASAP & reached Shail’s home. Freshened up, had breakfast & we were off to Nainital. It’s a 1hr drive from haldwani to Nainital. Moving thro the fog, watching the fabulous scenery had already made my day. We reached Nainital at around 12. I found myself in front of the picturesque Naini Lake which is located in the heart of the Nainital town. I was like “FUCK!” It was amazing! We checked into Army resort which is right in front of the Naini Lake. In the afternoon, we had a walk down the Hill at the Mall Road which is probably the best road I ever walked on! It is flanked by huge trees & series of shops & hotels on one side & the beautiful lake on the other. The weather was pleasant. At around 8-10 degrees, it was gr8 to walk around & explore Nainital. We had our so called lunch at Hard rock café. It’s not the original one. But a small but good hotel like. Then, we roamed around the Local Market and had a bit of shopping to do. Most of the shops are run by the Tibetans. Then we set for our boating adventure. The water was freezing cold. But it was a fabulous ride. Fog surrounded us everywhere! Just opposite to the market and hotels is the spectacular sight of hills fully covered by dense trees. I saw some trees literally hanging perpendicular to the base!! I thought it would fall anytime soon! 1st day at Nainital was over.
We got up late on the 2nd morning. We had our breakfast the Army cafeteria. Then, in the afternoon, we headed for a Local Tour. First spot was the Natural Caves. There were around 6 caves. The names were kinda weird! Some of them were named as "Leopard caves", "Monkey Caves", “bat caves”, “Porcupine Caves” etc. We enjoyed those caves. We had to crawl, bend, sleep and jump to get to the other end of the cave! Next stop was a view point where we could see the snow capped Himalayas. We opted for a few photo shoots. Then we visited famous places like “Lover’s Point”, “Suicide Point”. Then we headed to the Nainital zoo in the evening. It was high enough to climb and to visit all the preserved life. At Nainital Zoo you will find some native high altitude species. We were fortunate enough to see snow leopards as they were awake and moving around behind the barricade. We saw a huge Bengal tiger “kunal”. Thank God it was behind the fence. We again went to the mall road that night to eat ice cream (shocking!). We went to the Naina devi temple & the 2nd day in Nainital over!
3rd was our last day at Nainital. We planned for another boating adventure. This time, we thought of paddling ourselves! Siddu & Shail paddled as I watched the beautiful Nainital city. We had our food in a small hotel. And then we were off to haldwani. We had to catch the late night train to Delhi. Ah! Nainital was fantastic! Here are some few lines from the song “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin which will describe my trip!
Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, stars to fill my dream
I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been
To sit with elders of the gentle race, this world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait and all will be revealed..

3rd Semester over!
I seriously don know why I left blogging after 2nd sem vacations..
I wasn’t busy in studying.. I was doing all the shitty things that students do when they enter an engineering colg. But later, the things started to change somewat!? Took part in the spring fest, had some ideas to do dramatics, but then there’s always a last minute change in our life; so we canceled it! Then came my b’day. Can never forget that day! I was thrashed by my friends like hell! Fuck ‘em! B’day hai yaar.. Koi Thrashing Competition nahi! The worst of the kicks was from varun. His woodlands shoes & his football ‘ishtyle’ kick nearly knocked me off!
Then there was our Industrial Tour. We had been to Tulsi Foundries which is in Sangli. Industrial visit is a jus a name.. For us it’s an enjoyment trip. We were in the industries for jus 1 hr!
After all the fun, fest & fachchagiri, it was time to study!
The subjects in the 3rd sem are core & basic subjects. I hate civil from the beginning & it haunted me in the 3rd sem too! End exams started from 29th of dec. Maths went well. Then came the New Year Party. We partied thro out the nyt at a frnds place. Chatted, watched movies & ate pastries! It was gr8 fun. The next 5 papers were kinda good. But I was not expecting 7.7 points! It was a shocker! I was expecting some 7 points.. And the big shock was even more to come when I got B grade in maths! How liberal the prof could hav been! But who’s complaining?!! It came out of the blue! But I was happy! 3rd sem ended & I was off to Nainital for vacations.
